Casa Mullumbimby

What’s a Mullumbimby? According to the indigenous Australian Bundjalung people it means, “small, round hill”. While the word may leave you tongue-twisted, the home perched near its crest will leave you absolutely breathless!

This stylish, inviting home radiates elegance and casual luxury with an open design that allows the natural surroundings to complement the sumptuous décor. The home totals 320 m2 of construction, including 100 m2 of wrap-around terraces and a 15m2 dipping pool, but feels much larger due to 10-foot ceilings and the generous use of sliding glass windows which add volume and allow the hillside breezes to circulate.

Finishes include concrete floors polished to look like granite, Venetian stucco walls, vinyl windows and composite decks. The pool features a “beach” entrance and chromatic lighting. The home is heated with solar panels and features a wastewater treatment system with drip irrigation to minimize water use.

Construction time was around 4 months, not including final finishes and decking.
